Read the feature on Hal Mumme and Texas Tech's Mike Leach.I had a phone interview with Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach this morning. I put him on speaker phone and started the podcast as quick as I could. So, you'll notice at the beginning of this interview, he's already in mid-conversation. Then I had to turn his volume up, so excuse the discrepancy in volume and the sound of typing in the background.

Leach coached with Mumme at Iowa Wesleyan College (Mumme's first coaching job). He went on to take much of Mumme's Air Raid System with him throughout the years and has taken Texas Tech to the national stage. Last year the team was ranked as high at No. 2 in the nation and beat UT-Austin during the regular season.
